Title 24 field verification in Oakland
Oakland’s housing stock produces a broad mix of HVAC replacements, heat-pump projects, remodels, additions, duplex work and ADUs. Because project scopes vary widely, we review the CF1R and permit documentation first and then schedule the field verification required for that specific job.
Oakland permits and project documents
Oakland’s Planning & Building department and Building Bureau oversee building permits and inspections. The City has dedicated mechanical permit pathways for heating, cooling and ventilation work, including residential projects. For our field-verification visit, send the project address, CF1R or available energy compliance documents, permit year and HVAC equipment information.
Planning the field visit
We support applicable verification for HVAC replacements, heat-pump installations, ADUs, remodels, additions and other residential projects when field verification is specified. Service is also available in Berkeley, Alameda, San Leandro and Hayward. Confirming the required measures before the appointment helps avoid unnecessary testing and return trips.
Having the project address, permit year, CF1R or other compliance documents, and installed equipment information available before scheduling helps confirm the correct verification scope. If the project documents call for multiple measures, those can be coordinated for the same site visit when practical.
